This is a double sided tape built around a polyethylene fiber gauze with a paper roll core. The tape itself has a translucent mesh grid surface, so it blends in on light floors and stays low profile under a rug. The mesh grid adds strength across the width of the tape, which helps it hold where a plain film tape might stretch or tear.
It is made for carpets, rugs and woodworking indoors. Use it to keep a runner or area rug from sliding, to hold a carpet edge down, or to line up and hold wood pieces while you work. The tape is translucent, so it stays discreet on wood, tile and laminate.
Widths run from a slim 0.4 in (1 cm) strip up to a wide 2 in (5 cm) strip. Every roll is 5 m (16.4 ft) long. Pick the width that matches the job: narrow tape for small mats and trim work, wider tape for large rugs and heavier hold.
| Width | Length per roll | Pack options |
|---|---|---|
| 0.4 in (1 cm) | 5 m (16.4 ft) | 1 roll, 2 rolls |
| 0.8 in (2 cm) | 5 m (16.4 ft) | 1 roll, 2 rolls |
| 1.2 in (3 cm) | 5 m (16.4 ft) | 1 roll, 2 rolls |
| 2 in (5 cm) | 5 m (16.4 ft) | 1 roll, 2 rolls |
The 1 roll pack gives you 16.4 ft (5 m). The 2 roll pack gives you 32.8 ft (10 m) total. Two rolls are handy when you are taping more than one rug or when you want a spare on hand for a later project.
Indoors, this tape works on carpets, rugs and woodworking setups. A few common spots:
Because the tape is translucent and low profile, it stays out of sight under most rugs. On woodworking projects, the mesh grid gives you a clean line to follow when you cut a strip to length.
Start with a clean, dry surface. Wipe the floor or the back of the rug with a damp cloth and let it dry fully. Dust, grit or moisture will weaken the hold.
For a large rug, place strips near each corner and one along each long edge. For a small mat, a single strip across the middle is often enough. Press down firmly across the whole strip, not just the ends, so the mesh grid makes full contact.
When you want to remove the tape, lift a corner and pull slowly. A little residue may stay on the surface, and you can wipe it away with a damp cloth.
Wipe the tape clean with a damp cloth when it picks up dust or lint. Keep unused rolls in a dry spot, away from direct heat, so the adhesive stays ready for the next job. Store the roll on its paper core to keep the tape from sticking to itself.
Cut only what you need for each job. Short strips are easier to place and press down than long ones, and you waste less tape.
