What it is and what it is made of

The Beige Grid Non Slip Rug Pad is a sheet of PVC foam with an open grid mesh texture. The grid pattern gives the pad its grip, while the foam adds a thin cushion between your rug and the floor. It is about 0.1 in (3 mm) thick, so it sits low and does not lift a rug off the ground.

The pad comes in beige white and has cut edges. The backing is non-slip PVC foam, the same material as the rest of the pad. The pad simply rests between two surfaces and holds them in place through friction.

Where to use it

On stairs, cut it to fit the tread and set it under a stair tread mat. On a mattress, lay it between the mattress and the box spring or bed frame to reduce sliding. On a sofa, use it under seat cushions that shift when you sit down. In a car, place it under a seat cushion or a small mat.

The open grid mesh is the key to how it works. The texture creates friction against both surfaces. That is what keeps the pad, and the item on top of it, from sliding around.

How to fit it

Measure the area you want to cover. Use sharp household scissors and cut in straight lines along the grid. A ruler or a straight edge helps keep the cut even.

Clean the floor or surface first. Dust, crumbs and grit can reduce grip. Let the surface dry fully before you set the pad down. Place the pad flat, then lay the rug, mat or cushion on top. Press down across the whole surface with your hands or walk over it a few times. This helps the pad settle and make contact.

In cold rooms, the foam may feel stiffer at first. It softens as it warms up.

Care

Wipe the pad clean with mild soap and water. Use a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse the cloth, wipe away the soap, and let the pad air dry completely before you put it back in place.
