Grip Corner Rubber Rug Grippers are small triangular pads that lie flat under the corners of a rug. Each pad is made of rubber with a textured grip surface. The texture helps the corner stay where you set it. The pads are black, so they stay out of sight under most rugs.
They are a simple fix for the two problems shoppers mention most: a rug that creeps across the floor and corners that will not lie flat. Because the pad sits under the rug rather than on top of it, nothing shows at the edges.
Every pad in every pack is the same size. The pack choice only changes how many pads you get.
| Pack | Pads included | Long edge | Short edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 pads | 2 | 5.9 in (15 cm) | 4.3 in (11 cm) |
| 4 pads | 4 | 5.9 in (15 cm) | 4.3 in (11 cm) |
| 8 pads | 8 | 5.9 in (15 cm) | 4.3 in (11 cm) |
| 12 pads | 12 | 5.9 in (15 cm) | 4.3 in (11 cm) |
A 4 pad pack covers the four corners of one rug. The 8 pad pack suits two rugs, or one rug plus a spare set for a runner. The 12 pad pack is a good fit for a few rooms at once, or for larger rugs where you want a pad at each corner and along the long edges. The 2 pad pack works well when only one or two corners keep lifting.
Use these pads on hard floors such as wood, tile, laminate and vinyl. They also help on low pile carpet, where a thin rug tends to shift. Place one pad at each corner, with the long edge running along the side of the rug and the short edge along the end.
They suit area rugs, runners, small accent rugs and mats. If a rug has a thick, heavy backing, the pads still help, but you may want a pad at each corner plus one at the midpoint of each long side. For a runner, a pad at each of the four corners is usually enough.
For a rug that slides in the middle as well as the corners, space extra pads along the long edges. The pads are thin, so they do not create a bump underfoot.
These pads are reusable and washable. When the grip surface picks up lint or dust, rinse the pad in warm water and let it air dry fully. The texture comes back once it is clean and dry, and you can press it back under the rug.
If you move a rug to a new room, lift the pads and set them under the corners of the new rug. Store spare pads flat in a dry place. Avoid leaving them on a damp floor for long periods, since the grip works best on a clean, dry surface.
The pads reduce sliding and help corners lie flat. They are not a permanent adhesive, so a very light rug on a very smooth floor may still shift a little under a hard push. In most rooms, a pad at each corner is enough to keep the rug lined up with the furniture around it. Pair them with a full rug pad if you want cushioning across the whole rug, and use these grippers where the corners need extra hold.

Yes. They grip best on hard floors like wood, tile and vinyl, and they also help on low pile carpet. On thick carpet, add a pad at each corner and along the long sides.
Yes. Rinse them in warm water and let them air dry fully. Once clean and dry, the textured surface grips again and you can press them back under a rug.
No. Each pad is flat and black, and it sits under the rug corner inside the edge. The pad is thin, so it does not create a bump underfoot.
