What these grippers are

Grip Corner Rug Pad Grippers are small black PVC pads that keep rugs from sliding and curling. One side sticks to the rug backing and the other side grips the hard floor beneath it. The set includes 12 grippers, enough to place at corners and along the edges of most area rugs and carpets.

The blue "on floor" print

Each gripper ships with two covers. White backing paper protects the side that sticks to the rug. A clear film printed with blue "on floor" text protects the side that goes on the floor. Both peel off before use, so the gripper under your rug is plain black.

Sizes and shapes

Two shapes are available. Pick the one that fits your rug and the spot you want to secure.

The triangle works well at rug corners. The trapezoid fits along straight edges and in narrow gaps. Both shapes are made of the same black PVC.

Where they work best

These grippers are made for area rugs and carpets on hard floors. Use them on wood, tile, laminate, vinyl and similar hard surfaces. Place a gripper under each corner of the rug, then add more along the edges if the rug still shifts.

How to fit them

Clean and dry the rug backing and the floor.
Peel the white backing paper off a gripper.
Press the sticky side onto the underside of the rug, right at the corner.
Peel off the clear "on floor" film.
Lay the rug down and press each corner firmly onto the floor.

For a rug that curls at the corners, put a triangle gripper under each lifted corner. For long runners, space trapezoid grippers along both edges.

Care and reuse

Wipe the floor side with a damp cloth when it loses grip. Let it air dry and the grip comes back. Keep the grippers away from direct heat and sharp objects.
