What this rug pad is

The Gripweave Non Slip Rug Pad is a thin layer of PVC mesh that sits between your rug and your hard floor. Both sides carry a textured PVC grip, so the pad holds the floor below and the rug above. The open mesh grid lets air move through and keeps the pad light underfoot.

This is a practical pad for indoor use. It works under area rugs, runners, and small mats, and it also works under cushions that slide around on smooth floors. The cut edges keep a low profile, so the pad does not add bulk under a rug.

Sizes

Pick the size that fits your rug. If your rug falls between two sizes, size down so the pad stays inside the rug border.

Colors

The pad comes in two colors: milky white and black. Milky white blends with light floors and light rugs. Black disappears under dark rugs and dark floors. Both colors use the same PVC mesh and the same grip on both sides.

How to use it

1. Clean and dry the floor before you start. Dust and grit can let the pad slide.
2. Place the pad grip side down on the hard floor.
3. Set the rug on top and press it down with your hands, working from the center out.
4. Trim the pad with household scissors if it shows past the rug edge. Leave a small border of rug around the pad.
5. For cushions, cut a piece to size and place it under the cushion.

A few notes help the pad do its job. Keep the pad inside the rug border so it does not catch on feet or furniture. On very smooth floors, a quick press of the rug after placing it helps the grip settle. If you move the rug, lift it rather than drag it, then press it back down.

This pad is made for hard floors and indoor use. It is not a cushioning pad, so it adds grip rather than softness. If you want extra cushion under a thin rug, this pad still works as the grip layer under it.

Care

The PVC mesh is easy to clean and wear resistant. For routine care, lift the pad and shake it out, or vacuum both sides with a brush attachment. For a deeper clean, wipe the pad with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air dry fully before you put it back. Do not put it in a dryer. Keep the pad flat when you store it, and it will lie smooth the next time you use it.

Check the pad now and then under heavy furniture. If a corner curls, press it flat for a day and it will settle. Replace the pad when the grip no longer holds, which depends on foot traffic and floor type.
