What these rug gripper pads are

Gripweave Adhesive Rug Gripper Pads are small PU pads that hold a rug in place on a hard floor. Each pad is black and measures 5.1 x 1 in (13 x 2.5 cm). The PU surface grips the floor on one side and holds the rug backing on the other, so corners stay flat and edges stop curling.

They work as a rug pad, a non slip rug pad or a piece of carpet tape, depending on where you need hold. The pads are thin, so they sit under the rug without adding a bump. Wipe them clean when they pick up dust or lint.

Sizes and pack options

One pad size fits every pack. You pick the pack count based on how many corners and edges you need to hold.

Pad size Pack options
5.1 x 1 in (13 x 2.5 cm) 8 pads
5.1 x 1 in (13 x 2.5 cm) 16 pads
5.1 x 1 in (13 x 2.5 cm) 24 pads
5.1 x 1 in (13 x 2.5 cm) 32 pads
5.1 x 1 in (13 x 2.5 cm) 40 pads

A small mat at the door often needs 4 pads, one at each corner. A long runner may need 6 to 8 pads along the edges and corners. Larger area rugs can take more. The 8 pack suits a single small mat. The 40 pack covers several rugs or a large one with pads to spare.

Where to use them

These pads suit indoor floors: bathrooms, kitchens, stairs, living rooms and entryways. Use them under bath mats, kitchen runners, bedside rugs, door mats and area rugs. They also work under small mats that slide on tile, wood, laminate or vinyl.

On stairs, place a pad at each corner of a tread mat to keep the mat from shifting underfoot. In the kitchen, run pads along the long edges of a runner so it stays put near the sink and stove. At the door, a pad at each corner keeps a welcome mat from sliding when someone steps in.

How to fit them

  1. Clean the floor and the rug backing. Dust, oil and grit weaken the hold.
  2. Let both surfaces dry fully.
  3. Peel the backing from a pad.
  4. Press the pad onto the underside of the rug, near a corner or along an edge. Keep it just inside the rug border so it does not show.
  5. Press the rug down onto the floor and smooth it flat.
  6. Repeat at the other corners and along long edges as needed.

For a runner, place pads at all four corners first, then add pads at the middle of each long edge if the rug still shifts. For a door mat, one pad at each corner is often enough. If a pad loses hold, lift it, wipe the floor and the pad, and press it back down.

Care and reuse

Wipe the pads clean with a damp cloth when they collect dust or hair. Let them dry before pressing them back onto the floor. Keep them away from standing water and heavy grease. When you move a rug, peel the pads off slowly and store them flat. They can be pressed back into place on a clean, dry floor.

Check the pads now and then. If a corner lifts, press it down again or add another pad nearby. A fresh pad at a curling corner usually solves the problem.

Questions

How many pads come in a pack?

Packs come in 8, 16, 24, 32 or 40 pads. Pick the count based on how many corners and edges you need to hold.

What size is each pad?

Each pad measures 5.1 x 1 in (13 x 2.5 cm). The size is the same in every pack.

Will these pads work on stairs?

Yes. Place a pad at each corner of a stair tread mat to keep it from shifting. Clean the step and the mat backing first for the best hold.

How do I clean the pads?

Wipe them clean with a damp cloth and let them dry. Then press them back onto the rug and floor.
