Quartz Grit Anti-Slip Stair Tape is a roll of black tape designed to add grip where feet land. The surface is PVC with quartz sand grit, a combination that gives you a textured, high-friction layer over smooth or slippery areas. The tape is made for stairs, steps and other high-friction safety surfaces, indoors or out.
This is a simple, practical product. You cut the length you need, press it down and the grit does the work. No tools beyond a pair of scissors or a utility knife. No mixing, no drying time, no mess.
Each roll is about 197 in (500 cm) long. Pick the width that matches your stair or surface.
| Size | Width | Length |
|---|---|---|
| 1 in x 197 in | 1 in (2.5 cm) | About 197 in (500 cm) |
| 2 in x 197 in | 2 in (5 cm) | About 197 in (500 cm) |
| 4 in x 197 in | 4 in (10 cm) | About 197 in (500 cm) |
A 1 in (2.5 cm) roll suits narrow edges and small steps. The 2 in (5 cm) roll is a common choice for standard stair treads. The 4 in (10 cm) roll covers more of the step surface in a single strip, which helps on wider steps and ramps.
One roll goes a long way. At about 197 in (500 cm) per roll, you can cover several steps with a single strip each, depending on the width you choose and how much of the step you want to cover.
The tape is black. The quartz sand grit gives it a matte, textured finish that reads as a safety surface rather than a decorative trim. Black blends with most stair materials, including wood, concrete, tile and metal, and it does not show scuffs the way lighter colors can.
Because the grit is part of the surface, the texture stays visible. That texture is what you feel underfoot and what gives the tape its grip.
Quartz Grit Anti-Slip Stair Tape is made for stairs, steps and other high-friction safety surfaces. Common spots include:
Use it anywhere a smooth surface needs more traction. The tape works on wood, concrete, metal, tile and similar hard surfaces. Clean the surface first so it is dry and free of dust, oil or loose material. Cut the tape to length, peel the backing and press it firmly along the step. Run your hand over the full strip to set the adhesive.
For stairs, place the strip near the front edge of the tread, where feet land first. Leave a small margin at each side so the tape does not hang over the edge. If you want coverage across the full tread, use the 4 in (10 cm) width or run two strips side by side.
A quick sweep or wipe keeps the grit working. Dirt and grit that fill the texture reduce grip, so brush or rinse the tape when it looks dull. Mild soap and water are enough. Avoid harsh solvents and abrasive scrubbers, which can break down the adhesive or wear the grit.
Check the edges now and then. If a corner lifts, press it back down while the adhesive is still tacky. Replace the tape when the grit is worn smooth or the adhesive no longer holds. In high-traffic areas, expect to replace it sooner than in light-use spots.
Store unused tape in a dry place. Keep the roll flat and out of direct sun until you are ready to cut and apply it.
It comes in three widths: 1 in (2.5 cm), 2 in (5 cm) and 4 in (10 cm). Each roll is about 197 in (500 cm) long.

Yes. It is made for stairs, steps and other high-friction safety surfaces, including outdoor steps and deck stairs. Clean and dry the surface before applying it.
Each order includes 1 roll of anti-slip tape. The roll is about 197 in (500 cm) long, so you can cut several strips from it.
