Grit Guard Anti-Slip Stair Tape is a roll of tape with a gritted abrasive surface and an adhesive backing. The top face is a coarse anti-slip grit that gives shoes and bare feet something to grip. The back face is adhesive, so the tape bonds to the surface you press it onto.
It is made for stairs, floors, bathrooms and outdoor areas. The gritted surface adds grip on hard surfaces, and the tape suits indoor staircases as well as bathrooms and outdoor areas.
Each order includes 1 roll of anti-slip tape. There is nothing else to assemble.
Width and length are fixed by the option you pick. Length is 16.4 ft (5 m) for every roll.
| Width | Length | Colors |
|---|---|---|
| 1 in (2.5 cm) | 16.4 ft (5 m) | Black, Gray, Black and yellow, Transparent |
| 2 in (5.1 cm) | 16.4 ft (5 m) | Black, Gray, Black and yellow, Transparent |
A 1 in (2.5 cm) roll suits narrow step edges and short strips. A 2 in (5.1 cm) roll covers more of each step and works well on wider treads and floor strips. One roll of 16.4 ft (5 m) covers several standard steps when you cut strips to fit.
Black is the quiet choice. It blends into dark steps and outdoor concrete, and it hides dirt well.
Gray sits between light and dark surfaces. It reads clearly on pale tile and painted wood without drawing much attention.
Black and yellow is the high-visibility option. The striped look marks the edge of a step, so people notice the change in height. Use it on the top step, the bottom step or every step where a clear warning helps.
Transparent keeps the look of the surface underneath. It suits finished wood stairs, tile and stone where you want grip without changing the color of the step.
Start with a clean, dry surface. Wipe away dust, grease and loose finish, because the adhesive bonds best to a bare, dry surface.
Measure the step or area you want to cover. Cut the tape to length. Peel back a short section of the backing, press the tape down at one end, then peel and press as you move along. Work out any air bubbles with your fingers or a cloth.
Press the full strip down firmly, especially at the edges. For stairs, place the strip near the front edge of the tread, where feet land first. For floors and bathrooms, cut strips to fit the walkway or the area in front of a tub or shower. For outdoor areas, apply on a dry day and press the tape down hard so it sits flat on concrete or stone.
Let the tape settle before heavy use. After that, it is ready for daily foot traffic.
Wipe the tape clean with a damp cloth. For mud, dust or light spills, a damp cloth is enough. Avoid harsh scrubbing that could wear down the grit, and skip oils or wax-based cleaners that can leave a slippery film on the surface.
Check the edges now and then. If a corner lifts, press it back down. On outdoor areas, a quick wipe after rain or dust keeps the grit working as it should.
With simple care, the tape keeps its coarse surface and stays in place on stairs, floors, bathrooms and outdoor areas.
You can pick a width of 1 in (2.5 cm) or 2 in (5.1 cm). Every roll is 16.4 ft (5 m) long, and each order includes 1 roll.
The tape comes in black, gray, black and yellow, and transparent. Black and yellow is the high-visibility option, and transparent keeps the look of the surface underneath.
