EVA Grit Anti-Slip Stair Tape is a roll of EVA tape with a textured grit surface. The grit gives your feet and hands something to grip, so smooth walking areas feel more secure underfoot. The tape is made for stairs, floors and bathrooms, and you can use it indoors or outdoors.
This is a simple, practical roll. You cut the length you need, peel the backing and press it down. There is no special tool and no mixing. The surface stays textured, and the tape wipes clean when it gets dusty or damp.
Two widths are available, and both rolls are 197 in (500 cm) long. Pick the width that matches your step or the area you want to cover.
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| 1 x 197 in (2.5 x 500 cm) | Narrow strips on steps, edges and small floor spots |
| 2 x 197 in (5 x 500 cm) | Wider coverage on stairs, ramps and open floor areas |
Because the roll is long, you can cut several strips from one roll. Measure your step first, then cut a strip that fits with a little room on each side.
Choose from three colors:
All three colors have the same grit surface and the same EVA build. The choice is about how much you want the strip to stand out.
Stairs are the main job. Cut a strip for each step and place it near the front edge, where feet land. This works on wood, tile, stone and concrete steps.
Floors come next. Use short strips in spots that get slick, such as a garage floor, a workshop area or a smooth hallway. Bathrooms are another good fit. Place strips in the shower, on the tub edge or on a bathroom floor that stays wet.
Outdoors, the tape suits porch steps, deck stairs, walkways and entry areas. The grit surface holds up to foot traffic and to weather changes. Just make sure the surface is clean and dry before you press the tape down.
For stairs, keep each strip straight and centered. For floors, mark the area first so the strips line up. If you use several strips, leave a small gap between them so water can drain.
Wipe the tape clean with a damp cloth. For tougher spots, use a mild soap and water, then wipe dry. Avoid harsh scrubbing that could wear down the grit. Check the edges now and then and press down any spot that lifts. With basic care, the surface keeps its texture and the tape stays in place.
This tape is not a replacement for a loose stair tread or a broken step. It adds traction to a sound surface. If a step moves or a floor board is soft, fix that first, then add the tape.
Yes. It is made for stairs, floors and bathrooms indoors or outdoors. Clean and dry the surface before you press it down so it bonds well.
Measure the step, then cut the roll with household scissors. The 1 x 197 in (2.5 x 500 cm) width suits narrow strips, and the 2 x 197 in (5 x 500 cm) width covers more of the step.
Transparent blends into light floors and tile. Gray suits concrete and stone. Black stands out on light surfaces for a clear visual edge.
Wipe it clean with a damp cloth. For tougher spots, use mild soap and water, then wipe dry. Skip harsh scrubbing so the grit surface lasts.
