Silicone Felt Chair Leg Protectors are small sleeves that slip over the bottom of a chair leg. Each one pairs a flexible silicone body with a felt pad at the base. The silicone holds the protector in place on the leg, and the felt pad sits between your furniture and the floor.

This two part design helps with two common problems. The felt pad reduces friction so chairs slide without scraping, and the silicone shell keeps the pad from slipping off. Together they help protect wood, tile, laminate and vinyl floors from scratches and scuffs.

Sizes for round chair legs

These protectors fit round chair legs. Match the size to the diameter of your leg, measured across the bottom. The four sizes cover legs from 0.35 to 1.4 in (9 to 36 mm).

Measure the outside of the leg, not the inside of an old pad. If your measurement falls near the top of one size, choose the next size up for a snug fit. A protector that is too loose can slide off, and one that is too tight can be hard to seat fully.

How to fit them

1. Turn the chair on its side so the leg bottoms are easy to reach.
2. Wipe each leg bottom clean and let it dry.
3. Measure the leg diameter and confirm the size.
4. Slide the protector over the leg bottom and press until it sits flat.
5. Set the chair down and check that all four legs rest evenly.

If a protector feels loose, remove it and check your measurement. If it feels tight, work it on with a gentle twisting motion rather than forcing it. Once fitted, the felt pad should sit flat against the floor.

Care and upkeep

Wipe the protectors clean with a damp cloth. Keep them away from standing water and harsh cleaners, which can break down the felt over time.

Check the felt pads every few weeks in high traffic areas. If a pad looks worn or flattened, replace that protector. With simple care, they stay in place and keep doing their job.
