What these pads are

Gripweave Self Adhesive Rubber Furniture Pads are flat, black pads made of rubber with a textured surface and an adhesive backing. Each pad sticks to the bottom of a furniture leg or foot and stays in place indoors. The textured rubber face adds grip between the furniture and the floor, while the pad itself creates a soft layer that helps keep hard floors free of scuffs and scratches.

The pads are 0.16 in (4 mm) thick. That low profile keeps chairs and tables sitting close to their normal height, so you can add them without changing how your furniture feels. They are made for chairs, tables and furniture indoors, including dining chairs, desk chairs, stools, side tables and light stands.

Sizes and counts

Pads come on a peel off sheet, and you pick the shape, size and count that match your furniture. Round pads suit round and tapered legs. Square pads suit square legs and flat feet. Sheet pads can be trimmed to fit odd shapes.

Shape Size Count
Round 0.9 in (2.3 cm) 24 pads
Round 1.1 in (2.8 cm) 15 pads
Round 1.3 in (3.3 cm) 11 pads
Round 1.5 in (3.8 cm) 8 pads
Round 1.8 in (4.6 cm) 6 pads
Square 0.9 x 0.9 in (2.3 x 2.3 cm) 24 pads
Square 1.2 x 1 in (3 x 2.5 cm) 15 pads
Square 1.7 x 1.7 in (4.3 x 4.3 cm) 6 pads
Square 1.8 x 1 in (4.6 x 2.5 cm) 10 pads
Rectangular 1.6 x 1.1 in (4.1 x 2.8 cm) 6 pads
Rectangular 3.7 x 0.8 in (9.4 x 2 cm) 6 pads
Rectangular 5.7 x 1.8 in (14.5 x 4.6 cm) 2 pads
Sheet 5.8 x 3.8 in (14.8 x 9.6 cm) 1 pad

Mixed sets are also available. A round set pairs 64 pads in round 0.9 in (2.3 cm) with a 5.8 x 3.8 in (14.8 x 9.6 cm) sheet. A square set pairs 64 pads in square 0.9 x 0.9 in (2.3 x 2.3 cm) with the same sheet. One more mixed option combines round 0.9 in (2.3 cm) 24 pads, 1.1 in (2.8 cm) 15 pads and a 5.8 x 3.8 in (14.8 x 9.6 cm) sheet. Counts range from 1 pad to 64 pads, so a small pack covers a few chairs and a larger pack covers a full dining set.

How to fit them

  1. Clean the bottom of each furniture leg. Wipe away dust, grit and old adhesive, then let the surface dry.
  2. Peel a pad from the sheet. Hold the pad by its edges so the adhesive stays clean.
  3. Press the pad onto the leg, centered on the contact point. For sheet pads, cut a piece to size first.
  4. Hold firm pressure for a few seconds. Let the pad set before you slide the furniture.

For tapered legs, choose a pad that fits the flat contact area rather than the widest part of the leg. For heavy tables, use a larger pad or a sheet cut to cover more of the foot. If a leg has a rounded tip, a round pad usually sits better than a square one.

Where they work

These pads are made for indoor use on chairs, tables and furniture. They suit dining rooms, home offices, kitchens and living rooms. Use them on dining chairs, desk chairs, bar stools, side tables, plant stands and small cabinets. The rubber surface adds grip, which helps keep chairs from sliding on hard floors, and the pad layer helps absorb small bumps when furniture moves.

Care and replacement

Wipe the pads with a damp cloth when they pick up dust or hair. Skip harsh cleaners and scrubbing, which can wear down the textured surface. Check the pads every few months. If a pad has flattened, peeled at the edge or lost its grip, peel it off and press on a fresh one from the sheet. Keep spare pads on the sheet in a dry place so they stay ready to use.

Questions

Will these pads stick to wooden chair legs?

Yes. The adhesive backing presses onto wood, metal and plastic furniture feet. Clean the bottom of the leg first so dust and oil do not weaken the bond.

How thick are the pads?

Each pad is 0.16 in (4 mm) thick. That flat profile keeps chairs and tables close to their normal height while adding a rubber layer under the leg.

Which size should I pick for dining chairs?

Round 0.9 in (2.3 cm) pads fit most dining chair legs, and the 24 pad pack covers a set of four chairs with spares. For wider or square legs, choose a square or rectangular size.

Can I cut the sheet pad to fit?

Yes. The 5.8 x 3.8 in (14.8 x 9.6 cm) sheet pad can be trimmed with scissors to match an odd leg shape. Cut it slightly smaller than the foot so the edges do not catch.
