What these stair treads are

Soft Step Leaf Stair Treads are flat mats that sit on your indoor steps. The surface is a 100% polyester pile with a low profile, about 0.2 in (4.5 mm) thick. A self-adhesive backing holds each tread in place on the step, so you do not need separate tape or glue.

The flat shape lies on the step and stops short of the nose. That keeps the edge of your stair visible and lets the tread sit cleanly against the riser. The low pile feels soft underfoot on hard stairs.

Sizes and pack counts

Each tread comes in two widths and three pack counts. Pick the size that matches your step depth and the pack count that covers your staircase.

Size Pack options
21.7 x 8.7 in (55 x 22 cm) 1 pack, 3 pack, 5 pack
27.6 x 8.7 in (70 x 22 cm) 1 pack, 3 pack, 5 pack

Measure your step depth before you order. The 8.7 in (22 cm) depth suits most standard indoor steps, and the two widths let you match wider or narrower staircases. A 1 pack is handy for a single step or a spot fix, while the 3 pack and 5 pack cover a short run of stairs.

Colors and patterns

The collection mixes green leaf, clover, deer and bear motifs on brown, dark gray, black, dark brown and green grounds. Options include:

  • Brown with green leaves
  • Dark gray with green leaves
  • Black with green leaves
  • Brown with green deer
  • Dark gray with green four-leaf clover
  • Dark brown with green leaves
  • Dark brown with green bear and Family text
  • Black with green bear and Family text
  • Green with green four-leaf clover
  • Dark brown with green four-leaf clover
  • Brown with green four-leaf clover
  • Green with green leaves

Each tread is a single-piece mat with the pattern worked into the pile, so the surface keeps its soft feel underfoot.

How to fit and use them

These treads are made for indoor stairs and floors. Start with a clean, dry step. Peel the backing and press the tread down, working from one end to the other to push out air. The flat profile should sit on the step and stop short of the nose.

Press firmly along the whole surface so the adhesive grips. If you are covering a full staircase, line up the treads as you go so the spacing looks even. The self-adhesive backing means no tools and no separate fasteners.

Use them on wooden steps, painted stairs, laminate, tile and other hard indoor surfaces. The pile softens footfalls on bare stairs and helps keep the step quiet underfoot.

Care and maintenance

Vacuum the treads regularly to lift dust and loose dirt from the pile. For spots, clean with mild soap and water, then let them air dry fully before walking on them again.

Keep the backing dry and free of grit so it keeps its grip. If a tread starts to lift, press it back down. Avoid soaking the backing, since water can weaken the adhesive over time.

Questions

Do these stair treads stay in place without tape?

Yes. Each tread has a self-adhesive backing that presses onto the step, so you do not need separate tape or glue. Clean, dry steps give the best hold.

What size should I choose for my stairs?

Measure the depth of your step first. Both sizes are 8.7 in (22 cm) deep, and you can pick a 21.7 in (55 cm) or 27.6 in (70 cm) width to match your staircase.

Can I use them on wooden steps?

Yes. They are made for indoor stairs and floors, including wooden steps, laminate, tile and painted stairs. The flat profile sits on the step and stops short of the nose.

How do I clean them?

Vacuum the pile to remove dust and loose dirt. For spots, use mild soap and water, then let the treads dry fully before walking on them again.
