How to Fit and Use

1. Clean the step. Remove dust, grit and any loose debris from the surface.
2. Let the step dry fully before you place the tread.
3. Peel the backing and press the tread onto the step.
4. Smooth the pile with your hand and press down along the edges.
5. Repeat for each step you want to cover.

Place each tread so it sits flat on the step. Press firmly across the whole surface, especially at the front edge where feet land. Check the tread after a few days of use and press it down again if any corner lifts.

These treads are made for indoor stairs. They are not made for outdoor steps, wet areas or smooth surfaces that collect water.

Care

Machine wash or hand wash these treads. For machine washing, use a gentle cycle and a mild detergent. For hand washing, soak and press the pile gently, then rinse. Do not wring or twist the pile.

Air dry the treads flat. Once dry, shake them out and smooth the pile with your hand. The self-adhesive backing works best when the step is clean and dry before each placement.
