The Soft Step Long Runner Rug is a low profile runner made for indoor floors. The surface is 100 percent polyester pile in a boned texture, about 0.2 in (5 mm) thick. That keeps it soft underfoot without catching on doors or cabinet fronts.
The back is rubber with a non-slip grip, so the rug stays put on tile, wood, laminate and vinyl. Edges are bound to help the rug hold its shape over time. The rug is free of PVC and BPA.
Pick the length that fits your space. All three sizes share the same pile height and rubber backing.
| Size | Best spot |
|---|---|
| 16 x 24 in (40 x 60 cm) | Bedside, entry, small kitchen nook |
| 16 x 47 in (40 x 120 cm) | Hallway, galley kitchen, sofa side |
| 20 x 31 in (50 x 80 cm) | Living room, wider doorway, bedside |
Measure your floor first. Leave a few inches of bare floor on each side so the bound edges sit flat.
Four looks are available:
Beige and gray both work with wood, white and warm neutral rooms. Brown tones in the pile blend well with darker floors and wood furniture.
This runner suits indoor floors in several rooms:
The low pile means chairs and doors glide over it. It also fits under most furniture without bunching.
Routine care is simple:
A quick shake outdoors also helps between washes. The rubber backing should face down on a dry, clean floor.
Unroll the rug and let it rest flat for a few hours. If a corner lifts, place a book on it for a short time. On smooth floors, press the rubber backing down with your hands to help it grip. Rotate the runner every few months so wear stays even. If you use it in a high traffic hallway, a second runner can help you rotate between spots.
It comes in 16 x 24 in (40 x 60 cm), 16 x 47 in (40 x 120 cm) and 20 x 31 in (50 x 80 cm). The 16 x 47 in size is the longest and suits hallways best.
No. The back is rubber with a non-slip grip, so it stays in place on tile, wood, laminate and vinyl. Press it down when you first set it out.
Yes. You can hand wash or machine wash it, and you can vacuum and spot clean it between washes. Air dry it flat before putting it back on the floor.
There are four options: beige color block, gray ribbed, beige abstract shapes and gray geometric lines. Beige, gray and brown tones are all part of the range.
